Internships and Career Services

There is no doubt that Hobart and William Smith are on the cutting edge of blending traditional classroom learning with experiential preparation that includes internships, externships, and shadowing experiences. These experiential opportunities can take place in Geneva, yet often they are found in locations across the country and across the globe. To ensure that HWS students are well prepared for their futures - whether in work or in graduate programs - they must have access to the best of these experiences and have the economic assistance needed to fully immerse themselves within them. Support for the growth of the exceptional programming provided by the Salisbury Center for Career Services and Professional Development is critical for students in securing employment and leading lives of consequence after HWS. Support of internships through the Annual Fund will help the Colleges to identify and secure internships and research experiences for every student who successfully completes the Pathways, the Colleges' signature career development program.

In addition, supporters with both the means and the desire can fund a named Annual Internship with a gift commitment of $5,000 each year for four years.
