Facilities and Technology

Hobart and William Smith have the benefit of one of the most beautiful college campuses in the nation. Our 200+ acre setting on the shore of Seneca Lake includes new facilities alongside historic and gracious buildings that are two centuries old. Whether meet safety or ADA codes, to introduce sustainable features or simply to refresh what exists, there is a constant effort to maintain and enhance the physical resources available to students, faculty and staff. Along with these physical resources, the Colleges strive to provide the technology critical to 21st century learning environment. Gifts to support infrastructure allow the Colleges to keep the HWS landscape exemplary and maintain its historic significance while meeting the needs of modern student life.
