Hobart and William Smith Colleges have long been committed to recognizing academic and personal excellence.
HWS offers generous scholarships and grants based on academic achievement, talent, leadership and financial need. Annual scholarship amounts are divided evenly between the fall and spring semesters. All scholarships are renewable on an annual basis. Beginning with the classes of 2021, the following awards will require a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 at the end of each spring semester: Trustee, Faculty, Finger Lakes, Hersh and Wood.
Financial need is not considered in granting these awards. However, if you know you will need financial aid but you think you might qualify for an HWS scholarship, you are encouraged to apply.
You must fill out the online scholarship application in order to be considered for a merit scholarship.
