Downtown Geneva from a Student’s Perspective

Downtown Geneva from a Student’s Perspective

This semester’s community based research program provided us with the opportunity to see the City of Geneva’s downtown from a new perspective. This city has beautiful architecture, amazing views of Seneca Lake and a rich historic culture. As interns of the Geneva BID, we are analyzing vacant store fronts in downtown Geneva to determine the potential usage and then develop a subsequent promotional campaign. We are utilizing empty spaces to creatively engage pedestrians, tourists, and potential business owners. Our project emphasizes architectural design and preservation; economic planning and development; and business recruitment, retention, marketing, promotion and unification.
