The Division of Campus Life

Welcome to the Division of Campus Life at Hobart and William Smith Colleges! My colleagues and I are dedicated to developing programs that capture learning opportunities outside of the classroom and complement the academic experience. Our staff works to enrich the student experience by providing co-curricular learning, athletic and social opportunities that support the core missions of the Colleges. We strive to meet our mission everyday:

The Division of Campus Life empowers students to become self- reflective world citizens by providing co-curricular learning opportunities to enhance student growth, skill development, and personal wellness. We foster an inclusive, diverse community in which students develop a commitment to service as they grow to a deeper understanding of the relationship between self and others.

As a division, we concentrate on five strategic initiatives to augment students' meaningful interactions outside of the classroom. These interactions are centered on co-curricular learning, health and safety, and leadership development. We believe that active engagement in each of these areas is a crucial component of the Hobart and William Smith liberal arts experience.

On our site you will find a wealth of information for students, parents, faculty, and staff. I encourage you to browse the departments, programs, and opportunities that we offer and familiarize yourself with the wide range of resources available to you.
