Located on what is becoming popularly known as Emerson Hill, deCordova Hall was opened for student residency on January 15, 2005, along with its sister building Caird Hall.
deCordova Hall houses 88 residents in 20 singles, 24 doubles and 5 quads. The rooms offer separate temperature controls for each room, with forced air heating and air conditioning. All rooms are equipped with full telephone, cable, and computer/Internet access.
Each of the building's floors are furnished with a lounge/living area that includes wireless Internet access, large screen televisions and comfortable seating arrangements.
The ground floor is open to all residents and provides a large screen television (60 inches) and the only café serving Starbucks coffee in the Geneva area. It also contains a full kitchen, laundry facilities, vending machines and two game rooms.
Access to the second floor and higher (where the resident rooms are) is through a locked stairwell or locked elevator, to maintain the security of the building.
