The Current Events and Issues House will encourage global and political awareness by encouraging its residents to live an aware and engaged lifestyle. In addition to focusing on problems facing the United States, the house will explore the International community. Events such as oil prices and culture wars affect the entire world and merit impassioned debate.
The building is home to 18 students who have access to a lounge and laundry facilities. Each room is equipped with full telephone, cable and Internet access.
Applicants must have a 2.5 GPA and must have a healthy interest in the issues and problems America as a nation and the world as a community are facing today.
