To encourage an atmosphere of creativity for student writers on campus and to offer a retreat for those students who write on their own.

The collective is a home for both Crux, the campus literary magazine, and the International Writers Workshop.

The house, also known as Trowbridge House, is home to 6 students who have access to a living room and small kitchen. Laundry facilities can be accesed in Hirshson House, located on the Hill. Each room is equipped with full telephone, cable and Internet access.

Residence Requirements

  • Minimum GPA of 2.5.
  • If accepted, involvement in Writer's house sponsored activities.

Bed style: Standard twin. Students over 6'3" may request extra long beds.
