Lorinda WeinstockLorinda Weinstock, Abbe Center for Jewish Life Director and Hillel Adviser

Lorinda Weinstock is also president of the Finger Lakes Chapter of Hadassah, chair of the Avodah Committee at Temple Beth-El and a member of the Geneva Historical Society.

I love Friday night Shabbat dinners and the cycle of Jewish life - starting the New Year in the fall, the lights of Hanukkah in the Winter, thinking about springtime in Israel in January/February when we celebrate Tu B'Shevat. The Jewish community at HWS represents a wide variety of Jewish backgrounds and experiences. I enjoy the closeness of a small community, and the chance it affords to get to know people.
