The Office of Student Activities coordinates large coach buses for students to utilize for specific college-related breaks. These breaks include Thanksgiving break, Winter break, and Spring break. Each break offers a variety of locations including New York City, Albany, Boston, and a few others, determined by need. While the tickets for these break buses are sold at the College Store (payable by cash, check, credit card, or student charge), the Office of Student Activities coordinates the trips and so all questions can be directed to our office via email, firstname.lastname@example.org, or by phone, 315-781-3513. The office is also open from 8:30am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday, where a professional staff member is happy to help.
*Inclement weather will not impede travel unless a State of Emergency is declared, in which case students with bus tickets would be notified via email of all travel changes.

Looking for transportation to Rochester after graduation? Utilize the CATS bus system for low cost transportation options.
Determine if you will take the scheduled route from HWS to Eastview Mall in Victor, NY that leaves at 5:00PM, Monday-Friday and costs $1 OR schedule your own trip using their Dial-A-Ride program that requires 24 hours’ notice and charges $5 per rider. Dial-A-Ride is only available Monday-Friday.
If you are using the scheduled route that leaves HWS at 5:00PM, you will arrive at Eastview Mall at approximately 6:00PM. If you are scheduling your own Dial-A-Ride, you should specify what time you will need to arrive at Eastview Mall.
The drop off at Eastview Mall for the CATS bus is also the pickup location for the Rochester Transit System (RTS) bus. You can view the schedule here to determine the appropriate bus to take to get to your next location. You can also call a taxi cab to pick you up at Eastview Mall and take you to your desired location.
The Office of Conferences and Events also sponsors a variety of airport shuttles during specific college-related breaks. For information on those shuttles and other transportation services, visit this link.
