Matthew Crow did research for his book project at the archives and special collections of Rockefeller Library of Colonial Williamsburg, William and Mary, the University of Virginia, and the University of Pennsylvania. He also gave a paper presentation titled, "The Public Philosophy of Jeffersonian Democracy," at the annual meeting of the Society for Historians of the Early American Republic in St. Louis, MO.
This past summer Matt Kadane finished part of a new book project, tentatively titled The Path to Enlightenment, which he will deliver at a conference at UConn in October. He also finished a book chapter for a collection of essays titled In Praise of Ordinary People, which will appear on Palgrave Macmillan in December 2013. Finally, he wrote book reviews for the American Historical Review, Enterprise and Society, and European Studies: History, Society and Culture / Études européenes: Histoire, société, culture.
