

The Department of Psychology at Hobart and William Smith Colleges invites applicants for a tenure track faculty position to begin Fall 2012. This
position is in Social Psychology.
The position is at the Assistant Professor level, but exceptionally well-qualified candidates at the Associate level will be considered. We seek a gifted teacher-scholar who can teach core and laboratory courses in her/his respective area (i.e., Social Psychology), an advanced seminar in an area of specialty and one additional course from among the following: Introductory Psychology, Statistics and Research Methods, or a General Education course.
We welcome applications from individuals who are interested in contributing to the Colleges' interdisciplinary programs and can serve as role models for students from diverse ethnic backgrounds. All areas of specialization will be considered but we are especially interested in areas that complement those already established on campus. Candidates should have, or be near completion of the Ph.D. and be committed to teaching and developing an active research program at a small, residential, liberal arts institution.
