FUNDING OPPORTUNITY RESOURCES

SPIN

SPIN is a web-based system that includes a database of funding opportunities, a database of investigator profiles, and a matching alert service.  This database is designed to provide up-to-date information on current national and international government and private funding sources. All of the data in SPIN is obtained directly from the sponsoring agencies to ensure the integrity of the information.

Please contact Sponsored Programs with any questions about the SPIN funding opportunities database.

Sabbatical Funding and Fellowships

A list of common funding sources and fellowships to support faculty sabbaticals is compiled here. This list is sorted by sponsor; use your browser’s search or find function to search on a keyword.

The Grant Advisor Plus

The Grant Advisor Plus allows anyone with an account on the Colleges' network to search for grant, research, and fellowship opportunities for U.S. institutions of higher education and their faculty. With extra features such as a monthly newsletter in Acrobat PDF format, database searches, and deadline listings with extensive hyperlinks, this subscription offers important information for external funding through a user-friendly web interface. Please contact the Office of Grants if you would like assistance with this tool.

Foundation Directory Online

The Office of Grants maintains a subscription to Foundation Directory Online, an online resource maintained by the Foundation Center that includes information on more than 120,000 foundations.  This database is an excellent resource to help efficiently identify, attract, and manage funding opportunities.  Anyone may use the limited Foundation Directory Online Free at no cost, but the Office of Grants staff has access to a more robust and extensive database through a Professional subscription; please contact the office for more information and assistance with this resource.

Grants.gov

Grants.gov allows organizations to electronically find and apply for competitive grant opportunities from all federal grant-making agencies. GRANTS.GOV is an access point for more than 1000 grant programs offered by the 26 Federal grant-making agencies.
