The Office of Grants works with the Office of the Provost to ensure that faculty enjoy a rigorous intellectual life while at the Colleges. The ideas expressed in the proposals submitted to various funding agencies serve to enrich the institution academically, help re-invigorate the campus, and enhance the reputation of the Colleges as a whole.
The mission of the Office of Grants is to support institutional priorities and faculty research by identifying and helping obtain external revenue from foundations, government agencies, and corporations.
The Office of Grants coordinates ongoing relationships with a selected group of foundations, government agencies, and corporate funders and facilitates contacts by the president, provost, trustees, and key volunteers.
Through the Office of Grants, HWS faculty, senior staff, and administrators are able to obtain help in their efforts to attract external funding.
