The grounds team is responsible for the maintenance and repair of landscape and turf on our 188 acre campus. This includes athletic fields and campus turf areas; care and planting of trees, shrubs and flowers throughout campus, and snow/ice removal operations during the winter months. In addition to keeping the campus landscape and lawns healthy and clean, the grounds team assists in the set-up for events, daily delivery services and residence hall furniture set-ups/lofting. Grounds crew also assists in the maintenance of storm water management, roadways and sidewalks.
Our mission is to be responsible stewards of our campus and provide an environment that encourages and promotes education and social interaction of students, faculty, staff and visitors.
We use environmental sustainable practices such as incorporating native plants in landscapes, rain garden/bio-retention installations, bio-fuel production from campus waste oil and composting of landscape debris.
