IT Services provides faculty, students and staff who independently would like to explore software two types of online training resources:
IT Services provides HWS-specific printable quick-start guides and tip sheets on topics such as Blackboard course site set-up, podcasting in GarageBand software, establishing network connections, managing anti-spam and junk mail settings, creating a new password, accessing HWS resources off-campus (VPN) and much more.
IT Services also subscribes to Atomic Learning, a Web-based library of video tutorials on software including Office 2007, Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop and InDesign), iMovie, Blackboard and more. Faculty, students and staff need to request an account in order to access this resource.

Atomic Learning tutorials are available at http://movies.atomiclearning.com/highed/highed. To obtain login information, contact IT Services.

Alternatively, an appointment may be made by contacting Digital Learning staff in the Digital Learning Center located in the Library on the first floor in the Rosensweig Learning Commons. Staff members are available from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday at ext. 4420 or DLC@hws.edu.
