The web-based survey tool Surveyor is being retired and replaced by a new web-based survey tool called Baseline. Surveyor will be retired on June 30, 2013 and will no longer be accessible after that date. See below for information about exporting the survey data.
New surveys should be created in Baseline. This tool may be used for both simple and complex surveys, and offers an easy-to-use interface, various question types and options, user-friendly survey URLs, and mass e-mail and reporting capabilities.
Instructions for getting started with Baseline are available on the Instructions, Training Programs, and Guides page.
Faculty, staff, and students who have existing surveys in Surveyor and wish to keep an archival copy of the survey data are encouraged to export the data. Instructions, both printable and video, are available.
Surveyor is a Web-based survey tool that may be used by students, faculty and staff at the Colleges.
The Digital Learning Team creates Surveyor accounts and provides orientation on the main features of Surveyor for faculty, students, and staff. Ongoing assistance is also available in how to work with Surveyor features and generate reports.
IT Services will provide direction and answer questions, but does not create, send, or analyze surveys and results.
One-on-one assistance with Surveyor is available from Digital Learning Center staff members in IT Services. To schedule training, contact DLC@hws.edu, call ext. 4420, or stop by the Digital Learning Center in the library.
