Service Catalog: Network File Storage
Summary (what you get):
Students, faculty and staff are provided storage space on the network for files that need to be secure, accessible to multiple people, and backed up regularly.
- M: drive: This folder is typically used to store personal files for faculty, staff, and students. To directly access this folder, users can direct their file manager to \\fsrv\username$.
- N: drive: Folders located in this location on the file server contain many subfolders for course, department, and work group file sharing. To directly access this folder, users can direct the file manager to \\fsrv\pccommon.
- I: drive: This folder contains many common programs needed by students, faculty, and staff. To directly access this folder, users can direct their file manager to \\fsrv\netcommon.
When Customer Receives It:
All HWS users have access to these drives by default. Specific permissions to shared folders may be granted as necessary.
File Server Disk Quota: Storage quotas are enforced on the file server to ensure that disk space is available for academic purposes. The table below summarizes the Colleges’ file storage limits.

Additional Storage Space:
If you need more disk space, please review the files you are storing on the network and delete unnecessary files. If you still need additional space after doing that, please submit the request on the work order form.

Requests for this service may be made at the Help Desk in the library, by e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org or the online request form.
