Service Catalog: Curricular Design Technology

Summary (what you get):

The Digital Learning Team can be a collaborative resource to assist faculty with the incorporation of technology-based projects in the curriculum.

Services included:

Faculty members meet with an instructional technologist to discuss their specific needs, which may range from brainstorming possibilities for innovation, or working out the details of assignments that use technology. The following information offers a useful starting point for consultations:

  • Learning goals for class project or assignment (it's ok if these are still in the formative stages)
  • Course description
  • Class meeting times
  • Class meeting location
  • Number of students in the class
  • Number of groups (if applicable)

With this information, instructional technologists can determine which tools might meet curricular needs and recommend steps for implementation that align with the class goals. As appropriate, instructional technologists collaborate with research and instruction librarians as well as the Center for Teaching and Learning to offer coordinated support of curricular projects.
