Law graduated with a bachelor of arts degree, magna cum laude, and high honors in dance from William Smith College, where she minored in women's studies and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Koshare and Pride Alliance. She studied in Italy for a semester. She later earned certification in Laban/Bartenieff Movement Analysis from the Integrated Movement Studies program at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City.
She has taught modern technique and Bartenieff Fundamentals as a guest at various institutions in New York, Utah and Tennessee, including the Tennessee Association of Dance conferences, Off Vertical Movement Studios, the Hermitage Dance Academy, the Dance Studio and Franklin School of Performing Arts and the Ensworth School in Nashville, Tenn.
She has been a guest teacher/choreographer at Nashville School of the Arts public arts magnet school for the past four years and continues to create works and develop the modern dance curriculum. Law danced with the Nashville-based Shelter Repertory Dance Theatre under artistic director Kim Nofsinger, and has been an artist in residence at Berea College in Berea, Ky.
She is now employed with Vanderbilt University's Great Performances Series and Vanderbilt Dance Group, and she is engaged in several independent projects.
