Alumna Beckwith studies computer gender gap

Laura Beckwith '98 and her research into women software designers and programmers were featured in a story in the Monday, Sept. 24 issue of the Baltimore Sun.

Beckwith, a physics and computer science double major at HWS, recently completed her doctorate in computer science at Oregon State University in Corvallis. She has looked into the ways men and women interact differently with the same computer software, and a possible correlation with confidence.
