Eric Pier of Seneca Falls, son of Beth S. Pier of the Alumni House staff, has had a piece selected for an exhibit in Manhattan.
Pier, a 2002 graduate of Mynderse Academy and a recent BFA graduate of the state College of Ceramics at Alfred University, was one of 23 new alumni chosen to exhibit in "Anything U can do, I can do better," through Aug. 5 at Kathleen Cullen Fine Arts, on the fifth floor at 526 W. 26th St.
The exhibit, curated by Anat Egbi, was titled to reflect the attitude of these emerging artists, each of whom possess a vision to reformulate the creative process set before them and establish their artistic identities through their labors.
The exhibition showcases works in media including painting, printmaking, photography, video, sculpture, glass, ceramic art and site-specific installation.
The displays exemplify the wide range in the interdisciplinary programs of the University's School of Art and Design.
