Roth ’82 Jewish Community Foundation VP

Rise Roth '82 has been named vice president for philanthropy by the Jewish Community Foundation of Greater Hartford. As such, she will manage the Aim Chai Endowment Campaign, a community-wide collaboration whose goal is to strengthen and sustain the future of Jewish Hartford. An article announcing her appointment appeared in the Jewish Ledger Connecticut Edition. "Rise has been a positive force in this community for decades. We are thrilled that she will be part of JCF to help build a truly extraordinary community foundation - a model of transformational philanthropy and impact - in collaboration with an ambitious, dynamic team of professionals," said the Foundation's President and CEO Michael Johnston. Among her responsibilities, Roth will manage the Aim Chai Endowment Campaign, a new community-wide collaboration that aims to strengthen and sustain the future of Jewish Hartford. According to Johnston, Roth has extensive leadership experience in nonprofits and academia; most recently she was responsible for endowment giving at the University of Hartford. A graduate of Hobart and William Smith Colleges, she has held volunteer and professional fundraising leadership roles at Solomon Schechter Day School and the Jewish Federation of Greater Hartford. "Rise has been a positive force in this community for decades," said Johnston. "We are thrilled that she will be part of JCF to help build a truly extraordinary community foundation - a model of transformational philanthropy and impact - in collaboration with an ambitious, dynamic team of professionals."
