To mark the 50th anniversary of President John F. Kennedy's assassination, the American flag on the HWS campus will be flown at half-staff until sunset on Friday, Nov. 22.
The Colleges' observance follows the proclamation issued by President Barack Obama who ordered flags to be flown at half-staff on all official U.S. buildings.
Obama issued the proclamation noting the anniversary is a day to honor the late President's memory and "celebrate his enduring imprint on American history." Obama says Kennedy's vision for the U.S. and the world lives "in the generations he inspired."
