Marrapese III ’78 Appointed

Hodgson Russ LLP recently announced that Arthur A. Marrapese III '78 has been appointed to lead the law firm's Employee Benefits Practice Group.
Marrapese, who practices in the firm's Buffalo office, has been practicing employee benefits law since 1986. His extensive experience includes all aspects of the field, including the advisement of clients on risk management and administrative matters and regularly assisting clients in the design and documentation of employee benefit plans. His clients include group insurance brokers and consultants, plan sponsors, employee benefit plan trustees, custodians, retirement plan record keepers, and investment advisory firms. Marrapese has also represented plan sponsors in litigation involving fiduciary and benefits claims.
He is co-author of "Taxation of Distributions Plans," an in-depth, systematic treatise that supplies expert advice and practical answers on every aspect of this complex area of tax planning through detailed analysis of the changes made by the latest tax laws and regulations. He has also authored numerous alerts covering the latest developments in employee benefits law.
With roots tracing back to 1817, Hodgson Russ is one of the nation's oldest law firms, according to its website. The firm is made up of more than 200 attorneys in seven offices in Albany, Buffalo, Johnstown, and New York, New York; Palm Beach, Florida; and Toronto and Ontario, Canada.
Marrapese earned a B.A. in economics from Hobart before receiving his J.D. from SUNY Buffalo Law School.
