Careers in Environmental Law

Alum Brian Thompson '04 will return to campus on Thursday, Nov. 8, to share his experiences working for the United States Department of Justice and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

Thompson is currently a special trial attorney at the U.S. Department of Justice. He works for the Environmental and Natural Resource Division's Environmental Enforcement Section. Before accepting his current position, he worked as an attorney at the headquarters of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

After earning his B.A. in biology from Hobart College, Thompson attended Vermont Law School, where he earned his M.S. in environmental law and Juris Doctorate. He worked at various Vermont agencies prior to entering into the government sector of law and environmental justice.

Thompson's talk is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Sanford Room of the Scandling Campus Center. It is part of the Professionals in Residence Series sponsored by the Salisbury Center for Career Services and Professional Development.
