Students interested in a career in either fashion or public relations will have the opportunity to learn more about careers in these innovative fields when Jayne Chase P'13, a fashion and style expert, comes to campus on Wednesday, Feb. 8 as part of the Professionals in Residence Series.
Her talk, titled "Careers in Fashion and Public Relations," will take place at 7:30 p.m. in the Geneva Room.
Chase currently serves as president at Jayne Chase Communications, and co-host and producer of "A Fashionable Life," on 1490 AM WGCH. She started her career working at Glamour, Vanity Fair, Harper's Bazaar and J. Crew. She has co-hosted the "Morning Living Show" on Martha Stewart Living Radio on Sirius/XM, as well as co-hosted her own special series for MSLO called "A Fashion of Living." She has appeared as a fashion expert on "Good Morning America," "ABC News," "ABC News Now," "NBC," "Plum TV" and many more.
Chase has covered Mercedes Benz New York and London Fashion Weeks, as well as President Barack Obama's Inauguration for "ABC News" and "ABC News Now." She has styled and worked with many models, celebrities and TV correspondents, produced several fashion shows and remains a contributing editor covering fashion for the Cottages & Gardens publications.
One-on-one sessions with Chase will be held on Thursday, Feb. 9 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. To schedule an appointment, contact Career Services.
