Henking on "Out of Bounds" Radio Show

On Sunday Sept. 23, the re-broadcast of Tish Pearlman’s Out of Bounds Radio Show on WSKG-FM, will feature newly appointed President of Shimer College – and former HWS professor – Susan Henking. The broadcast will be at 11:30 a.m. on 89.3 Binghamton, 90.9 Ithaca 91.7 Cooperstown/Oneonta, 91.1 Corning/Elmira, 88.7 Hornell/Alfred, and will also be available for Live Stream on wskg.org.

Henking trained in Religious Studies, receiving her M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Chicago Divinity School. She joined the faculty of Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva, NY in 1988 where she taught Religious Studies. Dr. Henking was recently elected to be the 14th President of Shimer College, located on the campus of the Illinois Institute of Technology. Her academic career is distinguished by an extensive publication record of scholarly works on religion, psychology, the history of sociology, gender, sexuality, HIV/AIDS, diversity, and leadership in higher education.
