On Wednesday, Oct. 17, the Finger Lakes Institute's monthly Green Bag Lunch Series will welcome Cal and Joanna Adams to discuss "Using the Sun to Heat Your Water," at 12:20 p.m. in the Finger Lakes Institute Classroom, located at 601 S. Main Street. Please bring a bag lunch.
Cal and Joanna Adams, a DIY couple from Geneva
Heat your water with the Sun! This Green Bag Lunch Program will discuss why the Adams Family chose solar thermal over electric when it came to providing hot water to their home and will review the steps they took in obtaining and installing the hot water system. With just over 1 year of data collected, Cal and Joanna will share the analysis of and trends in their solar thermal water heating system’s efficiency. If time allows, Cal will discuss his plan to install a Solar Thermal Air heating system in his home this coming winter.
Come to this Green Bag Lunch to learn from a homeowner that has already done all of the homework and has experience to speak for it.

The Green Bag Lunch Series is coordinated for faculty and staff of Hobart and William Smith Colleges to encourage a sustainable lifestyle in the office and at home. Public and students are welcome as well.
