VOLUNTEER CODE OF CONDUCT AND EXPECTATIONS

Admissions Volunteers are viewed as an extension of the Hobart and William Smith Admissions Office. By becoming an active member of the Admissions Volunteer Network, you accept the responsibilities that come with it, understanding the significant impact you have on prospective students and their families. We depend on you to:

  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Provide accurate and factual information about HWS
  • Attend a training session or view our online training videos (coming soon)
  • Avoid making assessments, guarantees or promises regarding student admissibility, financial aid, housing and other aspects of the HWS experience
  • Be professional, courteous and helpful
  • Communicate any time constraints or extended travel away from the area
  • Complete your assigned duties in a timely manner
