TRI-STATE REGION PROFILE

Scott and Christy Hill P'13

Tri-State Parent Coordinators

Child's Name and Class year: Kelsey '13
Chappaqua, N.Y.

Why did your child choose Hobart and William Smith Colleges? Our guidance counselor told us we should visit HWS because every female student reminded her of Kelsey. When we visited, Kelsey felt so welcomed and at home, loved the facilities and people and had a fun meeting with Aliceann Wilber, William Smith soccer coach. She based her decision on that experience, her soccer overnight, the high level of the soccer program and that fact that HWS was only a drive away from our house!

Why do you choose to volunteer for the Colleges? Everyone I have met while involved with HWS - the admissions interviewer, the soccer coaches, the AD, the other students and their families, the Board Members, the President - everyone has been such great people that I wanted to keep being a part of the HWS family!

What makes the Colleges special? The people and the beautiful facilities overlooking Seneca Lake.

Why do you give to HWS? The same reason that we volunteer-to be a part of such an amazing organization/educational institution.

What are your goals as a Regional Parent Coordinator? To help others experience the wonder of HWS! To help the Colleges however we can.

What advice would you give to the parents of a prospective or incoming HWS student? Enjoy every minute of the next four years!
