Why did you choose Hobart and William Smith Colleges? Tom Carson and John Witte, Admissions Officers, both charmed me (and John became a lifetime friend!)

How do you stay connected to the Colleges? As a Hobart Alumni Council member and a past president of the Council.; over three decades as a Trustee; and notes from Alumni Office.

What makes the Colleges special? A sense of connection to classmates, faculty, our values, and the coordinate college structure.

Why do you give back to HWS? I give back in thanks for what I received, and to help create a foundation for others to experience the same in their turn.

What are your goals as a Regional Network Volunteer? Raise awareness of how much HWS has played a significant role in our alums’ lives and friendships

What advice would you give to an incoming or current HWS student? Pay attention every minute to every experience.....you'll be astonished how swiftly they pass, and how significant they will be in your life.
