For those alumni, alumnae, parents and friends who are supporting the Campaign for the Colleges with an "outright gift" of cash or stock, you may also decide to enhance your gift by joining the Wheeler Society.
Karen Ilacqua Reuscher '88 has made a multi-year cash commitment to the Campaign for the Colleges. In additions, she has named the Colleges a percentage beneficiary of her retirement plan. Karen is providing for both the current Campaign and the long term needs of the Colleges.
"Including the Colleges in my retirement plan is a simple but important way for me to give back to my alma mater that also allows me to provide for my family," says Ilacqua.
Planned gifts such as charitable gift annuities, pooled income funds, real estate or documented bequests, will count towards the goals of Campaign for the Colleges, at full face value of the gift, if the donor is 70 years or older.
Helen '53 and Ruth '52 Collings documented their bequest intentions to create the Herbert S. and Florence G. Collings Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund. Their generous planned gift will provide financial assistance to William Smith students for generations to come while supporting the Campaign for Colleges and the William Smith Centennial Campaign.
