This spring, there's a lot to celebrate at Hobart and William Smith! Gerald "Buzz" Klinger '12 and Will McConnell '12 were recently named the 2012 United States Universities Debate Champions, besting 156 teams, including teams from Colgate, Cornell, Stanford and many other of the nation's top schools.
HWS students have been honored with a variety of prestigious awards–including the Goldwater Scholarship and the Salisbury Summer International Internship Stipend. Trevor Gionet '12 has been selected to receive a Fulbright Teaching Assistant grant to Vietnam. Next year, Gionet will teach English at a collegiate level and learn to teach math - in Vietnamese.
Speaking of next year, the Classes of 2012 are off to a great start, getting into grad schools like Columbia and University of Pennsylvania and securing positions with companies like JP Morgan, Deutsche Bank and Yelp. Others have decided to give back–four have been accepted to the Peace Corps and seven will serve Teach for America.
Where will your HWS education lead you?
