At Hobart and William Smith Colleges we understand that higher education is a substantial financial commitment and our staff is dedicated to helping you and your family reach your educational goals. More than 84% of HWS students receive some form of financial assistance with more than 83% of first-year students receiving HWS scholarships and grants. The average first-year HWS award for 2011-2012 was $22,865 and the total aid package was $35,087.
In addition to federal and state financial assistance, HWS need, non-need and academic merit awards exceeded $36 million for 2011-2012.
