At Hobart and William Smith Colleges we understand that higher education is a substantial financial commitment and our staff is dedicated to helping you and your family reach your educational goals. More than 83% of HWS students receive some form of financial assistance with more than 77% of first-year students receiving HWS scholarships and grants. The average first-year HWS award for 2012-2013 was $21,793 and the total aid package was $34,267.
In addition to federal and state financial assistance, HWS need, non-need and academic merit awards exceeded $39 million for 2012-2013.
