Database Development for the Ovid Food Pantry

Student Researcher: Celeste Smith, WS’12
Community Partner: Nancy Canniff, Ovid Food Pantry
Staff Advisor: Katie Flowers
Faculty Advisor: Professor Jackie Augustine

This project transferred the records of food pantry clients from two separate handwritten records into one computer database. The new system allows for a more accessible analysis of demographic information for grants and periodic reports. With an effective system, the pantry can evaluate its efficiency in meeting the needs of its clients.
