Former Statesman John G. Pearce '04 has been named the first head coach of the George Washington University sailing program.
Pearce will take over as the face of the Colonials' sailing program, which will be elevated from club to varsity status beginning in 2012-13. He most recently spent three seasons from 2007-10 as co-head coach of the Dartmouth University varsity sailing team.
