Heron's Varsity 8 awarded Boat of the Week

The William Smith College varsity eight was named the Liberty League Women's Rowing Boat of the Week by the conference office on Monday, March 30th. Herons sweep spring opener at Rochester

The William Smith College rowing team got its spring racing season off to an impressive start, with a sweep of four races on the Genesee River. The Herons won each race by at least 14 seconds. Snow melt created strong head current, which, combined with head wind, made for a slow race course. As a result, the course was shortened to 1,700 meters, but times replicated a 2K effort. Alex Love honored by NEC

Hobart College senior attackman Alex Love was named the Northeast Conference Men's Lacrosse Co-Player of the Week by the league office on Monday, March 30th. DEJA VU: Love scores OT game winner to top RMU

For the second consecutive game, the Hobart College lacrosse team needed overtime to earn a decision and for the second game in a row, senior attackman Alex Love scored the game-winning goal. The William Smith College lacrosse team jumped out to a 6-0 lead and kept control from there to defeat Bard 14-2 in the Liberty League opener for both teams played at Vassar College Friday, March 27th.
