ASSESSMENT

Discovery

Career Services offers several assessment tools to help you examine your skills, interests and values. Whether you're deciding on a major or trying to find out the best career path for you, these assessments can help! Remember, assessments won't be able to tell you what you should "be" or "do," but they can provide you with valuable clues that may help you with the career decision-making process.

Career Services offers two assessments: Myers Briggs Type Indicator® and the Strong Interest Inventory®. Additionally, listed below is a selection of FREE online career assessments you can take yourself, with a limited amount of interpretation.

The Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)®:

The MBTI® is a self-reporting personality inventory, designed to help individuals understand themselves. It helps people understand their natural preferences, motivations, and potential areas for growth. It aids in understanding others, particularly those with different types.

Strong Interest Inventory®:

The Strong Interest Inventory® supplies tailored descriptions of the best occupations for you and detailed, graphic information about your occupational interests using a personalized RIASEC hexagon General Occupational themes; Realistic, Conventional, Enterprising, Social, Artistic, and Investigative.

If you are interested in taking the MBTI or the Strong Interest Inventory, please call our office at 781-3514 to schedule an appointment.
